Kotoko got themselves involved in an eventful first leg CAF Confederation Cup game as they beat Congolese side Club Athlétique Renaissance Aiglon (CARA) Brazzaville 1-0.

The game was an epic encounter which saw five penalties in total awarded in the game.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko had the lion share of the penalties with the Porcupine Warriors getting four out of the five.
In the thick of it all, Yakubu Mohammed was the only one to convert one in injury time after the rest were all squandered.
Coach Steve Pollack spoke to coach of CARA reaction on the touchline which insinuated that he influenced the decisions of the referee to award penalties.
"First of all therefereeislooking at me like in therefereegivingthepenalties. I am not thereferee.
"Don’t saytomethat I bribedthereferee, if I was tobeinvolved in such act I will not be in the game.
"Any club I’ve been with has never bribed anybody and if I hear my club bribes anybody to win games I will walk away.

Kotoko will travel to Congo to face CARA in fortnight.
