Kwesi Appiah pleads with fans to come support Black Stars in Cape Coast

Ghana play Egypt in the last Group E World Cup qualifying game in Cape Coast.

The Ghana Black Stars have already failed to qualify to the world but will need to honor that last game with the side that beat them to it.

The Head Coach of the side James Kwesi Appiah spoke to the media after supervising a training session ahead of the game in Cape Coast.

“This is our first time of playing a competitive game in Cape Coast. We make sure that we play our hearts out, we will not let the nation down and we just need everyone to come over here and support us.”

This is Kwesi Appiah’s second stint in the Black Star’s job as he was first appointed in April 2012 and managed to qualify the team to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

He parted ways with the side in May 2014 and went of the coach Sudanese side Al-Khartoum.

Kwesi Appiah was re-appointed as Ghana’s coach in April 2017.
