One word I detest more than the word cancer is “mediocrity” that level of in distinction which runs rampant in the length and breadth of the entire country has plagued the creative minds of its populace.

Pastor Mensa Otabil did present himself as a regular old pastor but instead crafted for himself the role of a leader, a motivational speaker, a friend and this made him distinct from the bunch because he dared to think outside the box. He managed to get his point across to his congregation each Sunday without doing the most like some others although there is nothing wrong with that.

The need for distinction should be something we should aspire for in our daily lives.

The recent trend of being part of the crowd seems to be the safest way to go about life. The safety cushion and back-up is the one thing making you mediocre. The fear of what others will say is making you mediocre.

The rule to know and understand is trying to communicate your worth to others. How do you do that? By knowing your worth. Always seek to improve upon yourself never allow a day to pass by without learning something constructive to improve upon your life.

As a general rule of thumb if you step out each day ask yourself one pertinent question Am I Mediocre? If yes then you have a problem. If you feel on cloud nine then raise your head up high, strut to the best of your ability and make those dreams happen.

The worst thing you can do is day-dream without any action.
