Barbara Mahama, the wife of lynched military officer, Major Mahama is pregnant according to media reports.
A report by Peacefmonline.com indicates that the widow of the slain soldier is currently in her first trimester of pregnancy. The information about her pregnancy was uncovered when the Peace FM reporter visited the home of the couple.

In Ghana amongst the Akans and other tribe, special names are given to children whose fathers die before they are born.
For example in Twi-speaking communities, ‘Anto or Antobam’ is given to a child born of such circumstances.
Mrs. Mahama and her late husband already have two young children. The late captain who has been posthumously made a major by President Nana Akufo-Addo and his wife, Barbara got married in August 2012.

Captain Mahama was a victim of mob injustice by a group of residents of Denkyira Obuasi, a town in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central Region. He was lynched to death and his body burned by residents who claim he was mistaken for a suspected armed robber. A claim that has since been questioned by many.
His murder has shocked the entire country with social media awash with sorrow and outrage about the way and manner in which he was killed.
