It all started as a rumour when players and management members of the Ghana Black Stars were promised a Jeep Cherokee each for coming second at the 2015 edition of AFCON.
The vehicle forms part of the reward Government is presenting to the senior national team for their ‘do well’ performance at the tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
But concrete information indicates that the Jeep Cherokee vehicles are ready to be picked up by the players and the management members.
However, the FA has denied such reports of government giving the players and the management members such freebies.
The Jeep Cherokee vehicle cost $76,000 each and would be supplied by Tannick Automobile, a company located on the Tema motorway.
