National thanksgiving service to be held on December 7

The service will be themed: “Thanking the LORD who won the battle for Ghana.”

A national thanksgiving service is expected to be held on Thursday, December 7 at the Accra International Conference Center to thank God for the victory given to Nana Akufo-Addo at the 2016 elections.

A poster tweeted by the president, Nana Akufo-Addo on Tuesday said that the programme will be held at 7:30 am with guests advised to get seated by 6:45 am.

Akufo-Addo beat ex-president John Mahama and five other candidates in the December 7 election by securing 53.85 per cent of valid votes cast to win the contest for the presidency.

He was sworn in on January 7, 2017, as Ghana’s 5th President of the 4th Republic.
