He said the herdsmen were arrested following the shooting a security guard with Scarnfarm Ghana Limited.
“We have arrested about six of them and we are working to repatriate them. They are not involved in the killing but they are here without any document. Some of them, they come here and don’t have documents to even show where they are coming from", Oti Boakye said on Class FM.
The MCE said such actions are necessary in avoiding reprisal attacks by the locals on the Fulani herdsmen.
“Even if you are from an ECOWAS nation, you have to have documents but these people come without any documents and when we get them, we try to repatriate,” he stated.
Talking about the killers of the security guard, Mr Boakye said: “Those criminals, when we get them the law will deal with them. We are tracing the killers and definitely, we will arrest them.”
