Cyberspace experts say it is high time Ghana put measures in place to fight cybercrime.
This they believe will serve as a means to attract investors to the country’s cyber terrain.
In an exclusive interview with Pulse Business, cyberspace expert with Ghana Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-GH) Spilker Wiredu, stated that securing a protected cyberspace is a sure guarantor to attract foreign investors.
He explains that, apart from the low cost of doing business, investors look out for the safest venue to do business.
“We must do well as a country on the side of cyber security to rain in some revenue”.
Ghana’s internet penetration rate is growing by nearly 40 per cent every year. That upward trajectory is expected to continue for the next several years.

Therefore the country must implement its cyber-security policy strategy that seeks to protect the country’s cyberspace, he noted.
Meanwhile, Cyber expert with MainOne Cable, Angelo Govani is also raised concerns about the need for SMEs in the cyberspace to join forces in developing a business plan to take advantage of the digital world.
The digital world is an ecosystem in which one entity cannot have all the resources at their disposal so we must attract expertise in our dealings.
