Melissa McCarthy is nominated for best actress at the 2019 Oscars for her role in Can You Ever Forgive Me-and she kicked off the night with an adorable moment on the red carpet with husband Ben Falcone, who also appears in the film.

Notably, Melissa also won a Razzie award this weekend for worst actress for her roles in Life of the Party and The Happytime Murders-though she earned a redemption prize at the Razzies for her part in Can You Ever Forgive Me. So yes, she could very well take home a best actress and worst actress award in the same weekend.

Melissa looked amazing in a black and white jumpsuit and cape as she hit the red carpet early in the night, with Ben by her side.

They shared a too-cute-for-words Oscars red carpet moment as they posed for photos together, and photographers gently asked Ben to move aside.

Ever the good sport, Ben scooted over, and let his wife be the star of the show. But let's all take a second to appreciate the loving gaze he sent her way as her looked on from the sidelines? Swoon.

Ben and Melissa prepared for the red carpet in pretty much the best way ever, too. Apparently, they spent some quality time cheering on their actor friend Richard E. Grant as he hopped around on a trampoline after he made her and her family eggs.

Melissa later told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet they were the "best eggs I ever had."

Then, the posted an all-smiles selfie on their way to awards (btw: pretty sure Ben was pregaming).

Who else wishes they spent the day with Ben and Melissa? Later, Melissa told Variety that she came prepared with snacks and "adult beverages" for the awards show.

Melissa's weight-loss journey is insanely relatable:

Ben and Melissa met all the way back in 1998 at the Groundlings Comedy School in Los Angeles. They got married in 2005 and have two daughters together, Vivian and Georgette. They've acted in several moves together over the years, including Bridesmaids, Identity Thief, The Boss, and Tammy.
