There are many different reasons that patients come to see dermatologist Sandra Lee MD, aka Dr. Pimple Popper . Sometimes they're suffering from a mysterious lump or bump or a bad case of blackheads. Whatever their skin concern, she always seems to find a solution.
In her latest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper helps a patient with a huge mole on his cheek. This mole is truly taking over his cheek. And, according to the derm it is time for it to go. She captions the video: "Face mole, no more! Happy Friday! #drpimplepopper"
Dr. Pimple Popper explains her technique: "I use my left hand to slightly stretch the skin to provide traction and a flat surface." Her other hand is busy controlling the sharp scalpel. Naturally, she asks her patient over and over again if he feels any pain. He replies with a negative every time, so she keeps on slicing.
Dr. Pimple Popper uses a sliding motion with the blade. She explains that it's not a parallel sawing motion, but not why the difference is key. Her technique works. It doesn't take long before she separates the mole from his face. The mole popped right off with a long hair intact, too.
Dr. Pimple Popper's fans were impressed. One commented, "Holy Moley, nice work." Another fan got creative with their praise: "I wanna chop it off and make some guacaMOLE..." Now it's a real popping party.
