If you're an avid Dr. Pimple Popper fan, you know the dermatologist has jokes for days (her pimple puns are always next-level). But in her latest Instagram post, the doctor's jokes were falling flat-likely because her patient's pimple took center stage.
I think I should stick to #steatocystoma NOT stand-up #comedy, the doctor captioned her latest Instagram video, before adding the hashtags #ithinkimfunny and #isthisthingon.
Dermatologist Sandra Lee, MD is actually talking about steatocystoma multiplex, a skin disorder that causes multiple noncancerous cysts known as steatocystomas to form, according to the U.S. National Library of Medicine .
Steatocystomas start in your sebaceous glands, which usually make something called sebum (that keeps your skin and hair lubricated). Steatocystomas end up filled with sebum, an oily, yellowish substance, and they're not pretty. While the U.S. National Library of Medicine doesnt have exact number on how often these things show up, steatocystoma multiplex seems to (thankfully) be rare.

On to the video, and Dr. Pimple Popper is not messing around with this one. The video starts off with a shot of a steatocystoma on a man's head, cut open. Dr. Pimple Popper starts squeezing and gooey yellow stuff (which you now know is sebum) oozes out while the doctor cracks jokes.
This is trying to get me, isnt it? she says. No one responds and she definitely notices. My comments are just falling flat, Dr. Pimple Popper says. Everybody is like, What are you talking about? I sound like Im crazy. (The patient grunted in response.)
Once all the steatocystoma's goo is out, Dr. Pimple Popper goes in with her tweezers and starts tugging away at the cyst's sac (you know, that thing you have to remove completely or else the cyst will grow back). Eventually Dr. P cuts and pulls the sac out in one long string.
The whole video is a journey. Hopefully Dr. Pimple Popper's jokes don't fall flat during her next pimple-popping session.
