Cameron Diaz, 46, blew fans away late last week when she revealed on Instagram that she and husband Benji Madden, 40, had welcomed a daughter.
Cameron didnt offer up many details, other than the fact that her daughters name is Raddix, shes really, really cute, and that the couple wouldnt be sharing any more information publicly about their little one.
While the actress and Good Charlotte musician are staying quiet on the whole thing, a source just spilled to Us Weekly about the couples journey to parenthood.
According to a source close to Cameron, the couple tried for years to conceive, before finally turning to surrogacy to have Raddix. They went through so much to get to this point, the source told the publication. Cameron feels like this baby is truly a miracle. A previous source also told Us Weekly that Cameron and Benji went through in vitro fertilization (IVF), acupuncture, and supplements to try to have a baby.
Now, theyre thrilled to be new parents. They just cant believe their little miracle is finally here, the source added. Theyve spent the last five years hoping for this, and it surpassed all of their expectations. Benji is also doting on his wife, the source said, which sounds so, so adorable. Benji has been waiting on Cam hand and foot, which is really sweet to see, the source said.
Apparently the couple are super hands-on with their new daughter and havent hired a nanny. Why? Cameron wants to spend every second with the baby, a source told People .
Congrats, Cameron and Benji!
