"For me, it wasn't an aesthetic [goal], like, 'I want to have my triceps on point!'" Krystal says. "We made sure we really took time to decompress and drop stress. Our biggest focus was getting our minds right."

To achieve that, Krystal says she's been diligent with a morning routine of silent meditation and journaling, which she said prepared her to walk down the aisle more than any workout could. "As we were prepping for the wedding, it really became eye-opening for us how important it was to make a path of personal development and growth," the reality TV star explains.

But the couple, whose wedding will air on Tuesday night's episode of Bachelor in Paradise, are longtime nutrition and fitness fanatics, so they did make slight tweaks to their typical routine to make sure they felt their best on the big day.

"We eliminated processed foods and incorporated as much fresh foods as possible," Chris says. "We also limited sodium intake to make sure that we're not bloated and affecting our blood pressure."

They also completely cut out alcohol, which can be tough when you just got engaged on television and have people sending you champagne at every restaurant you go to. This admittedly wasn't that hard for Chris (who Krystal says "is not a big drinker at all").

Not wanting to be rude, the couple would take a sipnothing more. "Ultimately," Krystal says, "it comes down to how determined are you? How important is your goal to you?"

The actual hardest part about their pre-wedding period? Since they had to keep their relationship under wraps until last season's Paradise finale, they couldn't wait to go on dates in public all the timeKrystal calls it "reverse dating"but when you're trying to stick to a routine, eating out can be tricky.

"Before we lived together, we were both very diligent about meal prepping," Krystal says. "Now, we like to go out and eat out, but we're really conscious of eating really healthy. Something as simple as cutting out oils and seasoning is really huge."

But it's not all health food and no indulgences. The couple's regular Friday night date nights always include a cocktail and some dessert. "[We don't] feel guilty, because we deserve it," she says.

When the couple does stay home, they keep things simple with a superfood -packed green smoothie that they're notorious for whipping up every morning. The lineup? Spirulina, chlorella, maca powder, avocado, half of a frozen banana, unsweetened almond milk, and one secret ingredient.

"The trick that Chris taught me is to use frozen peas in place of ice," Krystal says. "They're loaded with fiber, they give that great texture, and I really enjoy the extra greens and the taste." (Brb, totally stealing this smoothie hack.)

As for workouts, Krystal says she sticks to 30-minute, total-body strength circuits in a HIIT format , done four times a weekthe same routine her Total Body Guide is based on. "I like it because I'm moving every muscle," she says. "I'm maximizing my time and burning calories. I like feeling breathless."

And if you're wondering if this power couple works out together, they definitely dono matter where they are. "We'll be in hotels, and we'll set up our little circuit, set up a timer, and just run through four to five exercises, three rounds, one to two times," Krystal says.

Chris can confirmit's not an easy program. "She really loves to get people exhausted," the sports radio host admits. "If you're not breathless and you're not exhausted, then you're definitely not doing a Coach Krystal workout."

But as excited as Chris and Krystal are to show off their smokin' hot bods on tonight's episode of Paradise, they're way more excited to show the world that this crazy reality show life can actually lead to true love.

"This is a huge proof of concept that two strangers who didnt have the best of experiences [on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette] were able to come to an island, find one another, connect, and evolve," Chris says. "And it all took place on that very beach."
