If you look right there, youll find what the Easter Daddy, I mean Bunny left you, commented The Rock on an Instagram post of him pointing to a candy-free green egg nestled in a rose plant.

No candy when you come to the Rocks house - last thing I need is wrangling a bunch whacked out kiddos whove become candy crack heads on the sugar come down We had such a fun Easter with our ohana and hope you guys did too. Lets get back to work. A post shared by therock (@therock) on Apr 22, 2019 at 7:08am PDT

Longtime Dwayne Johnson followers will recognize the earnest expression on his face-its the same look he used when he said to a stadium full of people early in his career, The Rock has said it before, hes gonna say it again: When you live by the dirt, you die by the shovel.

One of the laws of Easter is: Joy, like chocolate, must at some point melt down. Most parents will trade glee on the front end for the pain and trauma of refined sugar withdrawal later on. Also: kids get, what, three cheat days a year? Halloween, Christmas, and Easter? Come on, Rock!

No, The Rock dont like candy. Even rock candy.

100 eggs for Jazzy & her cousins for their hunt, The Titan Games host commented, All filled with tiny toys.

He added, effectively rubbing it in: No candy when you come to the Rocks house.

Within minutes of Johnson posting, fellow fit father Mark Walhberg liked the message, effectively rubbing it in even more.

As a father of two children for whom running after tiny plastic eggs filled with literal mystery inside of them is still a thrilling pursuit, the sugar come down is not any worse than the joy come down that occurs when it becomes clear to the kids that inside the eggs are toys, not candy. The question is never, Will things devolve? the question is When will things devolve? There are many paths to Easter hell.

Still, The Rocks efforts should be celebrated. (Even if sugar might not be all that bad for you.)
