In an interview with French magazine, Cahiers du Cinma , Scorcese revealed a few details about his upcoming film, Killers of the Flower Moon, which will star Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio. The film itself is an adaptation of a book of the same name by author David Grann, who wrote of the murders of wealthy Native Americans in the 1920s.

According to Scorcese, the film will likely become a western; DiCaprio will play an unspecific lead character and De Niro, his adversary, in the role of "... William Hale, the 'king of the Osage Hills,' the man responsible for most of the murders," Scorcese told Cahiers du Cinma. This will be DiCaprio's sixth movie with the director and De Niro's ninth, following The Irishman.

Today, Deadline reported the director is also executive-producing a "revenge thriller" centered around a poker tournament, to star Tiffany Haddish, William Defoe, and Oscar Isaac.

In related Scorcese news, a tweet by writer A.P. Joyce is going viral for his polarizing take on the apparent premise of several Scorcese films, likely targeting his latest flick. "... VOICE OVER: In the old neighborhood things had a way of gettin done," he tweeted. "*3 hours of transition shots of people loading things on trucks punctuated by violence* Actor in old makeup: we didnt know how good we had it."

And people aren't so happy about it!
