The actor more or less shot down the idea, suggesting that hes so uncomfortable with the Super Bowl winners infamous friendship with Trump, he might be turned off from the quarterback entirely.
I really hope hes not a Trump supporter, Evans said. Im just hoping hes one of those guys that maybe supported him and now regrets it. Maybe he thought it was going to be different-and even that bothers me-but maybe theres a chance now he just thinks Trumps an absolute dumb shit, which he is.
If hes still on that Trump train, Evans added, I might have to cut ties. Its really tough.
Brady was questioned repeatedly about his support for Trump during the 2016 campaign, when reporters spotted a Make America Great Again hat in the quarterbacks locker. Hes a good friend of mine, Brady of the controversial future president. Ive known him for a long time. I support all my friends.

Evans, a Boston native, is well-known for his Patriots fandom. Hes narrated two separate documentaries on the team, which chronicled the and seasons, and about his love for Brady and the team.
But the actor, whose Avengers: Endgame hits theaters next month, said in the interview published Wednesday that he may no longer be able to compartmentalize the quarterbacks friendship with Trump.
I think maybe a couple of years ago, I might have tried to pull some, like, mental gymnastics to compartmentalize, but I dont know if I can anymore, Evans said. So Im just hoping hes woken up.
