Fans of the apocalyptic movie celebrated a festival themed after Mad Max and it was out of this world.
The festival, Wasteland is the 'world’s largest post-apocalyptic festival', celebrated in the Mojave Desert. Quite obviously, the festival is inspired by George Miller’s blockbuster franchise Mad Max, which was recently remade.

The festival has the same theme of a post-apocalyptic world that has gone utterly bonkers. The same atmosphere was recreated as east of Bakersfield, California, was thrown into chaos for a whole four days.
The area became a temporary abode for participants who simulated survivors struggling in the dunes. At the festival, costumes are compulsory and all participants have to remain in character.
The last festival, holding between September 22 to September 25, 2016 had a whopping 2,500 people in attendance.
During the day, the throngs of people are entertained by bass-heavy beats from the dance pit and at night, fires cast shadows on the participants.
