An1881 oil painting which is considered to be one of the most defining images of French impressionism is set to be sold at an auction this month.
The Edouard Manet's "Le Bar aux Folies-Bergere" which was last sold at an auction for £4.4m in 1994, is estimated to sell up to £20m at the June 24 sale.
"This is one of Manet's most famous subjects, and an absolute classic impressionist image of Parisian nightlife" Sotheby said.
In November 2014, a portrait by Manet set new record by selling for $65m (£42.6m) in New York.
On May 11, rival auctioneer Christie's sold Pablo Picasso's painting 'Women of Algiers' for $179.4 million, the highest sum ever paid for an artwork at auction.
