A video of a man dressed in tattered pair of jeans and dirty shirt preaching the word of God by the road at Lapaz in Accra has got many people wondering whether indeed he is mentally deranged or he deliberately dressed in that manner in order to get attention.
The video that has been making the rounds on social media shows the man with a bag on his back with a stick in his left hand moving from one end to the other as he preached the word to the amazement and admiration of bystanders.
The man’s pivotal message was about obedience to the commandments of God and getting closer to him, rather than being attracted to beauty of chapels and popularity of pastors, most of whom he claims are working for the devil.
As he preached, the people around could be heard in the background affirming the message, saying the man was spot-on.
He started by stating clearly that he was not preaching to take money from anybody as some other preachers do.
Some Facebook users are doubtful as to whether the preacher is mentally ill.
