In a video circulating online, the young man who had attended a wedding with his girlfriend who was part of the bridal train thought he could take advantage of the event to surprise his lover but it backfired.
Almost taking the shine out of the wedding ceremony, the man went to his girlfriend who was in front of the church, went on bended knees, brought out his engagement ring and popped the question.
However, even before the lady could answer yes or no, the pastor interrupted and asked the man to rise and go, claiming that the lady was his daughter.
According to him, he should have been informed about the man’s relationship with her daughter and the planned proposal.
He then apologised to the young man for any embarrassment he might have suffered as a result of the thwarted proposal.
