Dogs pay tribute on Twitter to hero police dog who died in Paris attack

Twitter users decided to honour the memory of Diezel, the police dog killed in line of duty during the Paris attacks.

The 7-year-old Belgian Shepherd died after a female suicide bomber detonated her device in Paris.

One police handler called Diesel’s death ‘like losing one of our colleagues’.

Twitter users used the hashtags #JeSuisChien and #JeSuisDiesel as they shared pictures of their own animals in solidarity with Diesel.
