Can sexual relations between teacher and student be justified?

Most certainly, a teacher who is compromised through such emotional (and sexual) connections would not be able to carry out his or her duties properly, especially where it concerns the subject of affection.

Incidences of sexual abuse by teachers against students have been on the rise in recent times.

Most academic institutions, at all levels, in the world formally or informally frown against romantic relationships between staff and the student populace.

It is not too hard to see the reason why this is prohibited.

But, even beyond that is the age can responsibility factor.

Most students, especially at the primary and secondary school levels, are too young to fully grasp the implications of such relationships.

So, even where they fantasize and ‘seduce’, the teacher is expected to be the mature party and fend them off maturely.

Unfortunately, this has not been the case.

As a result, many pupils have ended up pregnant and many teachers have landed in jail, if caught.

The following are examples of such situations that have led to arrests and prosecutions:

  • Married t
  • 24-yr-old
  • 30-yr-old
  • 47-yr-old p
  • Male maths
  • Half-naked 4
  • Woman
  • Married

Interestingly, some people have argued that many of the students in schools have relationships already and are not really abused by the teachers.

They believe that teachers could have sexual romantic relationships with students who are up to certain age.

Others also argue that it is okay if such relationships happen outside school hours.

Where do you stand?

It is entirely criminal or there are some exceptions?
