"My one corner hit track will win most popular song of the year in next year’s VGMA’s,” he disclosed.

Patapaa who has been making waves with his smashing hit single “One Corner” in Ghana and Africa and beyond made this remarks on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra hosted by Doctor Cann.

The Telecel Ghana Music Awards Board has clarified the omission of King Paluta’s Makoma from this year’s nominations, stating that only one song per artiste is allowed per category. The decision was based on research showing Aseda had stronger airplay and streaming numbers.

He added “God Opens the way out of the blue, as you all can attest to how viral one corner went, surely it is going to grab the most popular song of the year subject to next year’s VGMA awards,” he clarified.

The young chap who hails from Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana and came into the limelight after releasing his hit track “One Corner”.

Patapaa has also promised to release the video for “one corner” during this year’s Christmas festivities.
