New play tackles Galamsey in Ghana

Globe Productions in collaboration with playwright Latif Abubakar have brought another entertaining and educational stage play titled

The stage play has been organized to help educate the Ghanaian populace on the negative effects of Galamsey and join the fight towards ending the menace in Ghana.

The production house have always championed when it comes to creating awareness on social issues arising in the Ghana.

Their previous works “I Can’t Think Far” was staged in lieu of the 2016 general elections and create awareness of anger management.

Another production by Global productions “Judas and Delilah” was to teach lessons on basic first aid tips.

A synopsis of the play describes a man named Mr. Agyeman, a cocoa farmer who leased his family land for ten years to Mr. Blinks a galamsey businessman for a substantial amount.

On the flip side unbeknownst to Mr Agyeman the land would be uncultivable after its intended purpose had been served.

The production will be staged on Saturday and Sunday at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in the Greater Accra Region. Production of “Saint and Sinners” would be scheduled to play in three other regions.

Tickets for the show go for GHC 60 and can be obtained at Koala, Accra Mall, and Joy FM, Shell Shops (Airport, East Legon, Sakaman and Tema Comm. 11 and Baatsona Total.
