Abeiku Tagoe, Prolific movie writer and director, has expressed his opinion about the "bad nature" of Ghana's economy which is discouraging investors from investing in the movie industry.
He added, “Our challenge has always been the lack of adequate funding to help make our movies compete on the international market".
According to Mr. Tagoe, the Nigerian Movie Industry has developed because all the stake holders are actively involved and their economy is very stable.
Reminiscing back in time, he said, “In the 1980s we were acting for the sake of love for the industry and not necessary for money".
Though he admitted it was good to make money he bemoaned the situation where some producers, directors and actors including actresses, allowed money to “cloud their conscience" is a wrong path.
Albert Tagoe, stated that the in flakes of foreign movies and technology have brought tremendous changes in the movie industry.“We can be like the Hollywoods and the Bollywoods if the industry can have the needed support and resources,” he said.
