Caitlyn Jenner in deed kidnapped the internet yesterday (June 1) amassing over a million followers on Twitter just 4 hours after the release of her much anticipated Vanity Fair Cover which saw the death of former Olympian, Bruce Jenner and the birth of a 'pretty woman'.
The 65-year-old, who has now smashed down undefineds record, felt pleased about the achievement as she tweeted, ''Another Jenner world record, and at 65? Who'da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support.''
Well, Caitlyn also managed to get a responds from the White House, ''It takes courage to share your story... Your story matters in the fight for LGBT rights,'' Obama later tweeted about Bruce's shocking sex change.
Barack Obama opened his account on May 18 with: ''Hello, Twitter! It's Barack. Really! Six years in, they're finally giving me my own account.'' But it it took @POTUS five hours to pick up 1,000,000 followers, @caitlyn_jenner did it in just 4 hours and three minutes.
Caitlyn's first tweet, posted at 9.17am PST, was a picture of her explosive Vanity Fair cover by Annie Leibowitz. ''I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self,'' she followed it with. ''Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me.''
Caitlyn's new name - an impressively well-kept secret before Monday - was trending within minutes.
