Gt. Olympics which was born out of troubled Standfast in 1954 are synonymous with confusion and the club following the appointment of Tom Strand are going through another turmoil.

Gt. Olympics took a decision to appoint former Medeama coach Tom Strand and demote Godwin Attram to assistant coach role.

Attram who had declared earlier he was not going to work with the Swede organised a different training session with a core of the Gt. Olympics players at St. Aquinas School Park, while Tom Strand and another section of the team trained at Prampram on Thursday.

The player cum coach, who according to him has also been financing the club since last season in division one is not ready to accept the decision of the management team of the club, until they have paid back all the monies he has spent so far in running of the team.

From the look of things Gt. Olympics might present two different set of teams when they face Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Stadium on Sunday in their match day 12 fixture.

Gt. Olympics did a similar thing by presenting two teams for a league game in the late 1980 when the club was beset with troubles.
