Latif Blessing was crowned the Best Player of the 2015-16 Ghana Premier league at the GFA/PLB awards gala at the Banquet Hall State House on Friday.
Blessing beat off competition from Abdul Bashiru, right full back of Dreams FC and Kwesi Donsu of Medeama who scored 15 goals from central midfield position to win the ultimate award of the season.

Blessing who scored 17 goals was also honoured as the Goal King of the season as well for scoring the highest number of goals last season.

Inusah Musah of Accra Hearts of Oak, who played just the second half of last season, surprisingly beat Abdul Bashiru, a nominee for the Best Player of the Season award and Amos Frimpong, the defender who scored the highest number of goals to win the Best defender of the Season.

The awards night was graced by the legendary boxer, Azumah Nelson, Justice Anim Yeboah, a member of the FIFA Ethics Committee.
The GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, the PLB Chairman boss Ashford Tetteh Oku and other GFA members were also present.
