A man and his wife have been remanded into prison custody by Nigeria’s Ikeja Magistrates court after the latter allegedly poured hot water on another lady who the former

Though Chigozie Ezeofor and his wife Isioma from Kedeibo Estate in Ijegun area in the outskirts of Lagos have been granted a N500,000 bail each with two sureties, they remain in custody until they are able to meet the bail terms, according to yabaleftonline.ng.

A report by P.M. EXPRESS indicated that the victim was living with the couple, and the man had been having an affair with her severally against her will.

Reports say when Isioma became aware of the act, she lost self-control and poured hot water on the victim who is currently receiving treatment at an unknown hospital.

According to P.M. EXPRESS, Isioma only realized at the court that her action was hasty and the victim was actually forced by her husband Chigozie.

Chigozie Ezeofor and Isioma pleaded not guilty to anal penetration of the victim and causing serious harm by pouring hot water on the victim respectively.

The magistrates court presided over by Mrs. B.O. Osunsanmi adjourned the case till February 1 for further hearing.
