Students of the Ghana Technology University College have embarked on a demonstration on their school premises at Tesano in Acrra to press home demands for what they describe as more favourable learning conditions in the school.

Part of the students’ grievances include, exorbitant tuition fees, poor internet service, the use of school lecture halls as offices amongst others.

On the exorbitant fees charged by the school, the students say they are made to pay 1900 per semester as tuition fees, a situation they describe as unbearable and extremely harsh.

They have therefore expressed the resolve to agitate until the fees are reduced.

The students also bemoaned the fees charged as examination resit fees which have been increased by 100 percent from GHC50 to GHC100 in one semester.

Some of the students who spoke to Pulse.com.ghsaid, they are not given value for the fees they are made to pay in terms of service delivery.

"Though the school is charging us such high fees, students often do not get the results of the examinations they re- sat", one of the students, Samuel Boadi said.

Mr. Boadi added that the lecture halls in the school are insufficient as most of the blocks have been converted to offices.

Other concerns of the students include poor internet supply in the school.
