In a post, the Ghana president condemned terrorist attacks on the people of New York, which led to many deaths and injuries.
In showing solidarity to the victims, Akufo-Addo tweeted: “We stand in solidarity with the city of New York in condemning the activities of terrorists.”
However, not many are enthused by the President’s comments, with some social media users chiding him for failing to show the same level of solidarity towards other neighboring African countries that have also been subjected to terrorist attacks.
Subsequently, his Twitter feed was flooded with comments of criticism, with others also describing his message as “hypocritical”.
