According to Starrfmonline.com, the victim was initially given medical treatment at the Bawjiase Health Centre, and was later referred to the Agona Swedru Government Hospital for further treatment.

Reports say it took the kind gesture of a medical doctor to get the little girl treated and her medical form endorsed, as her parents could not afford the initial bill requested of them by the hospital.

The suspect who is said to be a neighbour and named only as Yavor is still at large and the case has been reported to the police.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Thursday, October 5, exactly at a time when the state appears to have waged a serious war on defilement of youngsters.

The police are on  manhunt for the teenager while they appeal to the public to help them with every necessary information to arrest of the suspect.
