An oil processing factory will be constructed in Akwatia in the Eastern Region under the one district, one factory program of the Nana Addo-led government.
This will be done by the Japanese government.
This was disclosed when a delegation of Japanese investors from CDC Company held a meeting with authorities and other stakeholders of Denkyembour.

The two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to allow for the beginning of the project.
An Economic Advisor from the office of the President Dr Kwadwo Samuel Frimpong led the Japanese delegation to Akwatia.
He said government focuses on creating private partnerships which will create jobs for the growing unemployed youth.
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Denkyembour District signed the MoU on behalf of the District.
It was witnessed by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akwatia, Mercy Adu Gyamfi.
All stakeholders present were happy a project from the government initiative was to be implemented in the area.
The chief of Akwatia Osabarima Kofi Boateng III said the land was available for the project to be implemented.
The DCE was optimistic the factory will ensure residents in the district make more income after completion.
However, the Director of Oil Palm Research Institute (OPRI), Sylvester K Derry, said the raw material base should be secured for a successful running of the factory.
