The stage for the grand finale of the 2017 National Science & Maths Quiz is all set with St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Adisadel College and Prempeh College ready to battle for the coveted trophy and bragging rights of Science and Math champions.

The trio are former winners of the competition with Adisadel College being the defending champions.

The widely known quiz which is held annually is popular for the academic rivalry it germinates among current and former students of partaking high schools in the country. The event is known to give bragging rights to successful schools as the best among others.

The contestants in the grand finale are claiming to be champions after the fifth and final round.

The 2016 edition has been nothing short of exciting as the organisers have also gone the extra mile to promote the competition on social media, thereby widening their reach and re-igniting the high school rivalry.

The latest development in the competition that has kept many awake at night is the upcoming battle of the brains between three of the best high schools in the country - based on their previous performances in the competition.

The contestants from the various schools in the contest who spoke to Pulse.com.gh said they are optimistic that their school is very interested in the quiz and will win the competition.

This face-off between Prempeh College, St. Thomas Aquinas SHS, Adisadel College could be the most exciting bit of the quiz this year.

All three schools qualified to the grand finale with high scores and are no doubt, each intending to continue their winning streak to hold their school’s high in esteem and also save face.

After a keenly contest, the three schools are expecting to be adjudged winners at the 2017 National Science and Maths quiz.
