Court adjourns Delta 13 case to September 5

The 13 were arrested after they allegedly chased the Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator out of his office and reportedly assaulted him in the process.

The prosecution in the case involving the 13 members of the Delta Force, a vigilante group within the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), has brought to an end investigation into the matter.

According to the prosecutor, ACP Okyere Darko, the police have completed their investigations and have forwarded the docket to the Attorney General for advice.

The prosecution prayed the KMA Circuit Court on Tuesday, August 8 to give the Attorney General’s Department some time to study the docket it submitted for advice.

The court presided by Mary Nsenkyire granted the plea, and adjourned the case to September 5, 2017.

They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, assault of a public officer, causing unlawful damage, and rioting.
