The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has set Saturday, February 27 as the date for the re-run of Parliamentary primaries in the Klottey Korle Constituency in the Greater Accra Region.
The party eventually took the decision after a series of back and forth regarding the possible re-run of the Parliamentary elections in the constituency.
This was after an Accra High court dismissed an application by the embattled Klottey Korle parliamentary candidate, Nii Noi Nortey who had asked the court to set aside a default judgment for a rerun of the primaries.
Nii Nortey won the August 2015 elections to represent the party in the 2016 Parliamentary elections for the area but two other aspirants, Philip Addison and Nii Adjei Tawiah challenged the credibility of the election results in court.
