The Flagstaff House is getting ready to receive the President-elect, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as some minor renovation and beautification works are currently ongoing inside and outside the Flagstaff House.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who won last month’s presidential election with over 5 million votes will occupy his predecessor’s desk at the Flagstaff House (Jubilee House) from January 7, 2017.
It is, however, unclear whether the name of Africa’s 5th most beautiful presidential palace will change after January 7 since the new president had previously raised reservations with its name.
Nana Addo had always preferred to call the presidential palace the name “Jubilee House” instead of the “Flagstaff House".
