The atmosphere at the Mandela Park near the Osu Castle was charged long before the arrival of the founder of the NDC.
Dr Agyeman-Rawlings had earlier led her supporters on a walk from Asylum Down through to the Mandela Park and at a point was compelled to mount a horse brought in by one of her admirers because her diminutive figure meant many of the teeming crowd could not see her amongst the throng.
In her address also delivered in Ga, she charged her supporters to vote for people with genuine intentions.

She said the plan would focus on issues the constituents themselves had raised including issues of education, sanitation, health and employment.
“There are several corporate institutions and companies in the constituency, I will impress upon these companies to have a quota system in place where all of them will be required to provide employment for the constituents,” she added.
The NDC will go to the polls on November 7 to elect parliamentary and a presidential candidate for the 2016 elections.
Dr Rawlings will have to beat incumbent MP Nii Armah Ashitey.
