One corner has marketed little known Ghana -Patapaa's manager

Bokpin in an interview with Accra-based Hitz FM said the song has gone global and has gained attention from international media and celebrities.

Patapaas manger, Godfred Bokpin, has brushed off criticism about the popular one corner song, saying the music has marketed Ghana to the world.

“CNN has reported the song and Chris Brown has also tweeted about the one corner song”, he remarked.

He added: “There’s no doubt that the hit song ‘One Corner’ has made its way outside Ghana...with people asking the origin of this song that comes with its weird dance. There are videos of people far and wide dancing to this hit song.”

When the chorus which simply repeats the phrase ‘One Corner’ begins, listeners make a mock dash to a hidden corner to dance to the record by rhythmically moving their hips in sexualized dance movements. When the song is played, it is customary to find a corner and start gyrating your waist in a funny way.
