Kotoko and Hearts kept apart in semis

Asante Kotoko will face Medeama SC, whereas Hearts of Oak will take on league champions, Wa All Stars in the semi-finals of the national knockout contest.

The Porcupine Warriors and the Tarkwa lads are not new in the FA Cup, having had several clashes in recent times: Kotoko have lost two finals against Medeama- 2013 and 2015.

Hearts of Oak of Oak and Wa All Stars would both be looking for their first FA Cup final, after it went on a ten-year break 2001-2010.

This is a big opportunity for Hearts and Kotoko to face each other in the first final since 1990.

Each of the 4 teams will receive GHC7, 000 each plus GHC1, 000 air time.

The winner of the 2017 FA Cup will be giving GHC50, 000 and the runners up will receive GHC15, 000.

However, the club that will represent Ghana at the CAF Confederation Cup will also be given GHC100, 000 for adequate preparation
