Another female singer has found herself in trouble over a music video that the Egyptian authorities considered as
Leila Amer was detained by prosecutors for four days after she appeared in the music video in December christened, “Boss Oumek” (“Look at your mother”) which includes sensual oriental dance and suggestive gestures, according to africafeeds.com.

Leila’s case comes barely a month after pop singer, popularly known as Shyma was jailed for two years a Cairo court for debauchery, which was subsequently reduced to one year on Monday following an appeal.
The musician union of Egypt has also expelled Leila from the union. The expulsion was announced on Dream TV by the union’s president, Hany Shaker who himself is famous for his conservative stance.
Egypt is a strong conservative nation that is strictly against any form of conduct that has the potential to corrupt its moral values.
