A 24-year-old man believed to be part of a group of ‘Sakawa boys’ has passed away after coming into contact with water.

He and his friends had gone to a spiritualist to help them make ends meet and to progress in their music career.

They were ordered by the spiritualist not to bathe for some time as part of their rules and regulations.

The deceased, who has only been identified as Collins, however, forgot about the order after taking in alcohol and decided to go swimming at a poolside he had visited with his friends.

He reportedly died right after coming into contact with the water in the pool.

His body has since been deposited at the Winneba morgue waiting for autopsy.

The Awutu Breku District Police Command has also begun investigations into the incident.
