Executives of the ruling New Patriotic Party in Tamale in the Northern region on Thursday evening foiled an attack on the party’s regional office by its own members.

The President, Nana Akufo-Addo has named 36 ministerial nominees who are yet to be vetted and approved by parliament.
He will be appointing deputy ministers once the ministerial nominees have taken office.
But the angry residents from Dagbon say it is rather unfortunate that despite their hard work, the president was yet to give them appointments in his administration.
“With our help and hard work, the NPP managed to win five seats that they have never won here before. And nobody can tell me that there is no Dagbon person who is qualified enough to serve in President Akufo-Addo’s cabinet, so people are disappointed and very aggrieved but we are trying to control ourselves,” a member of the irate supporters Yusif Danjiman told Accra-based Starr FM.
The party is, however, yet to officially comment on the matter.
