The father of the deceased soldier who was brutally murdered in Denkyira Obuasi Captain Dennis Mahama (Rtd) have asked the murderers of his son to plead for God’s forgiveness, not his.
Major Maxwell Adams Mahama met his untimely demise on Monday, May 29, 2017 after being wrongfully accused of armed robbery in the Upper Denkyira West District and lynched. He was the leader of a military troop that was sent into the area to monitor illegal mining activities.

The then captain was posthumously honoured as major after the gory incident.
Major Mahama’s embittered father honestly admitted to journalists in the past week that he was not incapable of forgiving the culprits of the grievous crime.
“His mother and I cannot say we have forgiven the killers, considering how hurt we are and I am nobody so far as the creation of Maxwell Adams is concerned.”

He said he was only the father of the late major and that the real crime was committed against the creator and as such his son’s killers should give any apology they have to God.
“The Creator Himself is the almighty God, so if you destroy somebody’s property, you go to the owner of the property and ask for forgiveness,” he added.
