The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for Assin Central in the Central Region Kennedy Agyepong, has accused the Inspector General of Police Mr John Kudalor of being bias in his handling of last Sunday’s violence at Nana Addo’s residence.

The latest incident which occurred on Sunday in front of Nana Akufo-Addo’s house has raised concerns over the country’s security ahead of the elections.

It is, however, unclear what triggered the clashes but according to reports, both sides confirmed gunshots and hurling of harmful objects.

The NPP’s acting General Secretary, John Boadu at a press conference hours after the incident accused the NDC of attacking their supporters with guns, knives and other harmful objects.

The NDC has since denied the claims saying it was the personal security of Nana Addo who first fired multiple shots at the NDC members.

But speaking on the incident, the maverick politician, Ken Agyapong said the police failed in the way they handled the situation.

“What kind of police do we have in this country? If it is the opposition, crime committed, but if it an NDC no evil seen. He is an asshole, a foolish IGP and bias”, he said on an Accra-based Adom Television station.

“There have been instances  not or two, the IGP and his men invited a prophet for coming out to share his spiritual vision and leave people who go out on radio to confess uncountable murder committed and are living in their comfort homes”. Are those people better than any other Ghanaian”, he asked.

He added that members of the NPP will begin defending themselves if the police fail to assist them in times of crisis.

“I said something and I was foolishly arrested and charged for treason.  He is the useless IGP ever and I regret buying a car for the Tema police. If he wants chaos, there will be chaos. What Kind of foolish things are these”, he asked.
