Ghana youngster Joe Dodoo is on the verge of sealing a move to Scottish giants Rangers, their ninth transfer of the summer.
The 21-year-old is ready to sign a four-year contract after jetting into Glasgow for talks earlier this week.
A cross-border transfer, it is likely to cost Rangers around £250,000 in training compensation
STV reported earlier this week that Leicester City striker Dodoo has begun training with the club ahead of a possible loan move to Ibrox – but now it appears that the deal could in fact be a permanent one
The Daily Mail report that Dodoo’s move to Rangers will actually be a permanent one after his Leicester City contract expired – but the Gers have yet to agree a compensation with Claudio Ranieri’s men despite the forward closing in on a move.
Dodoo has been on the books with Leicester since 2008, and hit the headlines last season by scoring a hat-trick in his first start for the club against Bury in the Capital One Cup.
Tipped for a bright future, the Ghanaian attacker – who can play out wide or up front thanks to his pace – now looks set to snub a stay at the King Power Stadium in order to play first-team football at Rangers.
