Ghanaian player scores winner for Premier League champions Leicester in pre-season

Jeffrey Schlupp came from the bench to score the winner for Leicester City in their pre-season game against Oxford United.

Schlupp was introduced into the second half of the game after a host of changes by manager Claudio Ranieri.

Premier League champions Leicester City had come back from behind in the first half with Demarai Gray levelling after Christopher Maguire had scored the opener for Oxford United.

Leicester City produced an excellent move with 20 minutes of the game to go as Jeffrey Schlupp’s low drive from a distance found its way to the back of the net putting his side into a 2-1 lead.

Claudio Ranieri’s team held on to record a 2-1 win in their pre-season game against Oxford United as they step up preparations to defend their league title in England.

Ghanaian defender Daniel Amartey also came on in the second half of the game replacing Drinkwater to play in the final thirty minutes of the win for the English Premier League champions.
