The Police at Ho in the Volta Region has arrested a woman in her early thirties for allegedly stabbing her lover in the chest.

People who witnessed the incident which led to the stabbing said they heard the two lovers in one of their usual fights. The eyewitnesses said they later found the man lying in a pool of blood at their doorstep.

Upon arrival at the hospital, the deceased Francis Dzodogbe who is believed to be in his early 40s was pronounced dead.

Residents in the vicinity where the incident happened said the suspect, Precious Doku was found of carrying sharp objects during fights. The incident occurred in a house at the Mawuli Gate suburb of Ho where they both live.

She was said to have inflicted knife wounds on the deceased a month ago.

The Police are currently investigating the matter.

The body of Francis Dzodogbe has been deposited at the Ho Municipal Hospital mortuary.
