Police arrest 2 for allegedly selling human head

The 2 suspects allegedly came to a Mallam at Barekese on Sunday (January 21, 2018) around 9:30 pm to sell the human head however, the Mallam called the police to arrest them.

The Police in the Ashanti Region has arrested two suspects who allegedly attempted selling human head to a spiritualist at Barekese in the Ashanti Region.

The 2 suspects allegedly came to a Mallam at Barekese on Sunday (January 21, 2018) around 9:30 pm to sell the human head to Mallam Baba.

The suspects: Akwasi Adu, 18; Attah Kanea, 20, were asked to wait for the Mallam in his home while he went for the money outside to pay for the transaction.

According to Accra-based Class FM, the Mallam returned home with police officers who arrested the suspects.

The assembly member for Barekese Electoral Area, Prince Anane Amoateng, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspects mentioned 8 accomplices as the real owners of the decapitated head.

The two suspects are currently in the custody of the Suame Divisional Police Command.

The police has since launched a manhunt for the accomplices.

Despite all the security issues going on now, the Deputy Minister of the Interior Henry Quartey has said that Ghana is safe and called on the general public not to feel threatened.
