Ghana must make every effort to bring illegal fishing to an end or else risk losing the European market to other countries.

Speaking on Accra-based Class FM, she said: “if we don’t do proper fishing, other countries that are in trade with us will stop doing business with us.”
“Most of our fishes go to the European market, and, so, if we don’t liaise with them to help us fight illegal fishing, a time may come that they will stop doing business with us. This is the time that we need to do the right thing, so we don’t lose the European market to other countries,” she added.
